The Role
As a Print Center Apprentice, you will develop hands-on expertise by learning to operate and maintain the Indigo Digital Press and supporting equipment, including the GM narrow web finishing line, shrink sleeve seamer, and Fuji Acuity Press devices. Working closely under the guidance of our Print Center Lead, you will build technical skills, understand equipment workflows, all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and assist with various digital printing and finishing tasks. This role requires a strong willingness to learn, adaptability, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to growing your capabilities in a dynamic environment.
Core Responsibilities
- Assist with the operation and maintenance of the Indigo Digital Press, GM narrow web finishing line, flexographic printing, and shrink sleeve seamer under supervision
- Learn to perform routine equipment maintenance and help manage inventory and supplies
- Support accurate interpretation and execution of job tickets
- Collaborate to troubleshoot printing challenges and escalate when necessary
- Maintain a clean, organized, and controlled workspace environment (including temperature and humidity)
- Update and maintain resource lists of external vendors and services
- Actively communicate and embrace the company’s mission, vision, and workflow processes
- Participate in regular goal-setting and development meetings with the Director of Prototyping Operations and Print Center Lead.

- Work towards HP Indigo operational and maintenance certification (training provided)
- Build strong computer skills, including MS Office and project management software
Education and Experience
- Printing certifications or any printing experience is a plus.
- Some familiarity or interest in the packaging or printing industry is preferred.
- No prior Indigo press experience required; on-the-job training will be provided.
Salary Range:
- This job has a range from $18.00 - $20.00 USD on an hourly basis
